TM is nice, but you get to play with something that DISTINCTLY feels like a toy. Sure it shoots nice, but its fully plastic and you have to shoot it with duster gas.

You can upgrade them to full metal, but then you really arnt playing with a TM anymore.

Thank you all for your answer, I think i'll buy a "KJW M1911 FM 6mm Co2 Blow Back".

skalnok March 12th, 2015 12:13

daishi ive never run any of my TM's on anything but propane and ive never had an issue.

TM will always be your best bet but i do agree, they do feel like a toy and are exceptionally light compared to a full metal pistol.

What's the main difference between the KP-05, KP-06 and KP-08? just the look?

Styrak March 12th, 2015 12:23

Yes mostly just looks. They're all Hicapas.

Datawraith March 12th, 2015 12:24

KP07 is a MEU, so the mags will be thinner due to single-stacking (less round capacity).
KP05 is your standard Hi-Capa (2011) with a double stack mag, Tanio Koba grips, combat sights.
KP06 is a big fcker; its a 6.1 Hi-Capa. This means the slide is 6.1" long which is ridiculously large. It has fibre optic sights.
KP08 is basically the KP05, but with a polymer frame and slightly different aesthetics.

The best advice I can give you is to first chose the model you want; Glock, 1911, M9, etc. See which one fits well in your hand and points well for you; consider features such as hammer fired vs striker fired, and single action vs single/double action trigger.

Once you decide what model you want, then look at brands. You can't always say one brand is good or bad as a blanket statement. For example WE is known as having bad pistols but this isn't necessarily accurate. They make terrible 1911's and high cappas, but their newer releases are quite good: Glocks, Sigs and XDMs.

^ this.

I didnt include TM because they are too pricey for me :(

I recently bought a almost brand new TM Biohazard Sentinel 9 with the TM hard case, original long magazine and one spare short magazine at $ 250 shipped, a TM XDM (all black) with metal slide and outer barrel + 3 magazines, with original box, manual at $400.

All you need is to keep your eyes opened.

lurkingknight March 12th, 2015 12:33

TM 5-7.... stock rubber... pdi barrel .3 bb.

75m kill. UN fucking REAL.

BioRage March 12th, 2015 13:25

I run both Coleman and Bernzomatic propane in all my TM. Zero problems.

Anyways, thread is summed up, he choose kjw.

Good luck.

Then you have been looking in the wrong places. TM pistols can be found under 300$ quite easily. To fix your listing:

KSC -> High.
KWA -> High (mostly the same products as KSC but with cost cutting on a few parts).
KWC -> Very low to mid depending on model.
KJW -> Mid, usually pretty durable too.
WE -> Very low to mid depending on model. High lemon rate.
WA -> High but mostly unavailable in Canada.
TM -> Highest quality.

Thanks, i'll stick with the M1911.
Look better IMO.

Thank you all for your great answers.

Seriously, find the one that fits your hand best... I went through a lot of pistols till I found the ones that are most comfortable for my hand. For me it's a sig 226 or M&P9.

As for plastic... does it feel lighter than a RS? of course but it also helps on those long days that you're carrying 1 less pound on your body...

ShelledPants March 12th, 2015 15:23

I skimmed this thread on my phone.

TM is likely the only gun to outlast you without upgrades.
Some KJ guns are its equal. (Less Baer Customs)
WE are trash.
KWC are not worth thebbox they come in.
Some KWA and KSC will be rock solid. Low risk of lemons. Upgrades are hit and miss. Mags can be hit and miss.
WA are technically more advanced that TM with a similar build quality and QC from factory. PARTS are impossible to find. Mags are twice the price as TM.

Stop talking out of your ass.

OP, TM run great on propane or green gas with the exception of the FN 5-7 which self destructs after a while.

Their AEGs might not be the greatest, but a TM pistol will never let you down.
