j_march December 12th, 2013 12:29

Awesome :)

ARC-74 December 12th, 2013 12:48

Very cool indeed, though I'd have to figure out to somehow get a tracer unit inside the front & use red tracer bbs..............for no reason:D

Drakker December 12th, 2013 12:49

Finally! Been waiting for one of these for so long. I hope they won't be charging KTW prices for it...

Scouser December 12th, 2013 13:14

if these actually come out and are available im going to have to pick up a blastech conversion kit and set it up to make it an E-11

ShelledPants December 12th, 2013 13:46

My dream of a starwars game is coming closer and closer...

j_march December 12th, 2013 15:49

So....good for old school Canadian, Australian, British and Star Wars loadouts. Hmmmm I'm thinking there will be a few buyers for this one. Most from the dark side? Lol

Old SMG

Reminds me of the old SMG in basic...to bad it wasn't a GBB

Danke December 12th, 2013 23:20

Yeah, that was my first thought too. Open bolt blowback too please.

Gas Uzi next.

j_march December 13th, 2013 00:31

Amen to full size metal gas blow back UZI.

ARC-74 December 13th, 2013 07:31

I just noticed that the two protective shields on the right side, (one in front of the bolt, one near the muzzle) are square like the Canadian version SMG C1, not rounded as seen on the L2A3 / Mk.4. The front sight looks like the SMG C1 too:)

maverick5770 December 13th, 2013 13:32

that is so damn cool

Crossfire034 December 13th, 2013 13:50

Huh... and just the other day I was trying to come up with some sort of Star Wars kit, albeit for a Rebel trooper and their AR15-based blaster. I've always liked Stormtroopers more, though. I wonder how hard it would be (if it's even possible to begin with) to make a shorter magazine for the Sterling.

j_march December 13th, 2013 15:57

Ya you can make one, I just read about a guy who took a deactivated sterling and shortened the mag for his Star Wars blaster build. Google it, it is kinda interesting.

If you mean Canadian, probably because it was out SMG for a long time! :D

volteco January 28th, 2014 09:34

Finally! Really excited about this! Yes, it would be amazing if someone makes GBB version, but for now I am more than happy!

Scouser January 28th, 2014 10:22

buddies of mine in the 501st nearly had kittens when i told them the price would be 300+ most likely, and i had to explain to them what all goes into engineering these things

i find it rather entertaining that they balk at the cost of an airsoft gun, yet spend upwards of 800$ on their armours, not including their buckets

silly stormtroopers

What the hell is that, a polycarb tube with LEDs in it? that is looking interesting.

volteco January 28th, 2014 11:09

Master Replicas "Force FX Lightsaber"

or similar...

Love the Sterling, you can find de-wats out there.. The Charter Arms (Now Henry) AR 7 was used to make some Star Wars weapons. I seen one listed here recently! I have a real one. They are kool little survival rifles!

Nope, much more expensive than force fx, its a 10w tri cree led with 2x cool white leds lit for the main blade, running at about 240 lumins each

the hilt itself is t6 aircraft aluminum, powdercoated in a gunmetal and copper two tone

blade is 1/8inch thickwalled polycarbonate with about 7 feet of diffusor film inside to make that even look

the soundboard is fully programmable, and runs on a 3.7v li-ion cell, 2watt bass speaker, and a crystal shard 1.0 soundboard by plecter labs

fun toys, and durable enough to hit each other with and not break them.

we dont use the MR sabers because the soundboards are garbage, the led strings in the blade pop easy resulting in dead spots in the blade, and also the blades are very very thinwalled so they bend and break easy

They're fine if you're laying a beat down on little kids with their dollar store light sabres.

What's really crazy is the Armson OEG sights on those things.

The idea everyone in the army would have a red dot sight was just pure madness for decades later.

Scouser January 28th, 2014 12:36

haha, well other than the guy im sparring with in the video, and one other fellow, most of the guys in our group are a hell of a lot bigger than i am,

ugh one of them has started sparring using a polearm saber, a whole different ball game defending against that thing

volteco January 28th, 2014 12:46

Impressive, most impressive ! :)

www.genesiscustomsabers.com

that guy is out of edmonton, hes who i got mine from, great guy, ive had a couple from him

his one off complete custom designs go for 1200 to 1800$ and he does a couple select runs here and there of specific character sabers (darth bane and corran horn, jaina solo)

then hes got his badaxe design which is new (curved hilt sabers) and the ascend line (which is what i have, just customized a bit)

_Whiskey_ January 28th, 2014 16:34

IF a STARWARS event was ever done I would so be in for that. Plus the sterling looks really awsome.

EagleDriver February 7th, 2014 08:49

http://shop.ehobbyasia.com/action-sl...l#.UvSjhhymhfY

I just received an email that this is available now (not sure when it was actually released). It says that it uses a steel 4 round magazine. I know we want realism, but I would have liked to see it compatible with MP5 magazines or something similar. I have too many different magazines as it is...

volteco February 7th, 2014 08:54

Why, why would they have to do a PTW? I was so looking forward to making an E-11 out of it but the price is just killing. I imagine in Canada the price is going to be more than $500 or closer to $600. For this kind of money it could be possible to get a real deactivated sterling. Have to consider again before getting it...

COMMANDER BOND February 11th, 2014 01:41

I have an asashi clasic sterling - gas operated.:)

big_gunz February 11th, 2014 02:53

i guess starwars gun fights will be the same as airsoft gun fights, regardless of all the armour you have 1 shot is all it takes to kill ya

lurkingknight February 11th, 2014 09:11

yeah.. the accuracy will be about the same as the ones the storm troopers have. :P

redmond February 25th, 2014 13:45

My eyes might be getting old, but anyone else notice how wide the mag in the youtube video was?

armybuck041 February 3rd, 2015 05:30

Gents,

Bit of a necropost, but has anyone sourced one of these inside Canada?

I've been on the hunt for one of these or Beta Project version.

Kokanee February 3rd, 2015 10:15

I know that Capital Airsoft in Edmonton has sourced them before. But for something closer to your neck of the woods try Mach1Airsoft, ask to talk to Rich.

Thanks for the reply Rich.

I actually managed to snap one up from the shelf of a dealer in Toronto this morning. Hope to have it before the end of the week. Surprisingly difficult to find these SMGs in Canada.

volteco February 3rd, 2015 12:46

I got mine Beta Sterling from ehobbyasia for $279 plus shipping and customs duites. Customs didn't even stop it for an FPS check.

I debated that route but pussed out :)

I'm already on CBSA's warning list for a disagreement I had with a Customs Agent last year at the border. Since then 90% of parcels have been showing up with the tell-tale yellow tape.

Lets just say my cost was pretty much double yours, but included the battery and the FPS bumped up to be Canada legal.
