Super sexy. I like this model. If I ever buy a new sniper rifle, I'll buy one like this.
Tanx for the comments guys. My cadpat M24 was painted by Marksmann. I bought the whole rifle off him a few years ago. He's really good at painting rifle. Even the screws on the stock are painted cadpat.... I would have cheaped on those for sure! You can see the parts I added: bipot and scope covers. They are painted plain OD (faded from use...) The M700 will be painted soon. The ghillies suit for the M24 was not optimal, but it did a gread job. I say was, because I no longer use it as it was to entangling. I'll make a new one this summer. |
In Shooter Mark Walberg used a CheyTac M200 Intervention, my rifle is made by Star Airsoft, but it sure as hell looks real.

First Prize goes to Mr Jon with his AI L96 Super Magnum or AI AWM or L115A3
Second Prize goes to SEALs with his M24. Third Prize goes to Fox with his M24 uhmm this just gave me an idea for a real contest on here... |
from my other thread,, not many upgrades as of yet.
love that star btw. http://i228.photobucket.com/albums/e...airsoft011.jpg |
|
How much cost the Star L96 anyway and what brand of upgrades does it take?
I'd sell my M700 in a heart beat to get one. |
Quote:
yeah, I'd be willing to pay about 1500$ for the star, only question, where can I get one. and like fox said, what kind of upgrades does it take? cheers |
I needs muh scope for it, and possibly a bipod.
http://www.simviation.com/yabbuploads/100_1943kk.jpg |
i aswell got a spr too thunder nice gun i will post pictures once im home but yeah it needs a bipod their not a sniper with out it lol but what scope you thinking im still not chosen one yet atm
|
Lets just say you dont need upgrades for this STAR. It comes with a percision tightbore and it fires over 550-600+ on a hot day and is super accurate out of the box. I believe it takes AEG barrels and hop buckings if im not mistaken. It appears to be an original design by Star. You can however purchase a highflow valve for it apparently, I have one on order. But the downside is the lack of parts availability and you STILL cant get extra gas magazines for it.

Its has MPH tape under with electrical tape over it. Hockey tape would absorb the paint and make it difficult for paint wear and get sticky after long periods of use.
|
two questions for you canadianstalker.. What is that little fabric band around the gun right underneath the front end of the scope that you, and fox have on your guns? And where do you get your ghille material for you gun?
|
The band is a velcro strap to secure the mag in the magweld. It help reduce missfeeds.
The ghillie material is just jute strand attached to a net. Jute is either died or painted. I painted mine. |
I put that strap on Fox's gun when I reinforced it two years ago. Gun misfreds because the nozzle that is supposed to strip off the top BB ends up pushing the entire mag down (design flaw) and your next shot is equal to an "airsoft vasectomy".
My rifle ghillie is real saltwater fishing net (Michael's Craft Store), strips of cadpat, jute(gardening twine already dyed green), burlap, some multicam, and OD laundry bag mesh. |

what brand of scope is on the second gun i want that scop how much and were
|
Quote:
So is the saltwater fishing net holding the stuff on the gun? |
Ya, I just made a 'sock' wrap that I tied together (excess netting from my ghillies) and just tied everything onto it. Shoo Goo the same netting (BTW, 5' x 7' size is $14) onto BDUs and make the ghillie for your body.

Vodnick you real steel whore.

My heart twitched when I saw Hellranger's prosniper....

nice m14
what kind of bi-pod is that? |
Oh, its some off brand folder but it does have pan and tilt, so its not so bad.
|

what about a nice bullet-holster cheek pad |
Yes, that would be fitting but I was thinking of trying a DIY Kydex adjustable cheek rest.
|
Here's my CA M24. Fully upgraded, shooting around 450fps.
http://i202.photobucket.com/albums/a...MG_01292-1.jpg |
Nice. I like the paint pattern. It's not Gucci, but it's effective like it's supposed to be.
|
It's actually a tan base than I used a strip of burlap to stencil on the green. You can't see it in the pic but it looks like tan burlap painted onto it. It was still too smooth so I just spray painted burlap and wrapped it around the rifle. Ghillie wraps are nice but I find they get caught up on too much stuff.
|
Indeed. That's why I don't use my rifle ghillie anymore. It got a lot of dirt and jute crap in my rifle. After every game, I had to dismantle the rifle to remove all that crap.
|
Amen to that!

Just wow!
It's an AEG? what fps do you expect it to shoot? |
Quote:
|
you only bought the body and you build on it ... wow :D
|
yep its an AEG and just like '' Happy_Killmore '' said it should shoot around 550 to 600fps with 0.20g but I will use 0.43g for this one
The Hurricane kit only include the body, barrel, .50 mag, bi-pod, carry handle, tools, manual, etc and it come in a nice foam case |
Quote:
600fps (0.20g) using .36g (447fps) give you a very nice engagement range. If the field allow for 100 feets of minimum engagement distance. It really put the role of sniper into perspective! |
550fps with 0.20g will be 450fps using 0.36g BBs (in my M24 with Laylax 170 spring). In all guns I've tested various weights in, there is a 100fps difference between 0.20g and 0.36g BBs. Pretty easy rule of thumb right there, gives you a ballpark velocity if you are using 0.28g (divide by half, ~50fps difference between 0.20g and 0.28g).
|
don,t forgot with this FPS... probably the HOp up will be damage in a low laps of time
|
Quote:
Still, you bring up a very good point, hop up rubber choice is paramount to any sniper rifle upgrade. Currently I'm using the KN RH65 rubber in my rifle and it's working well. Avoid any rubber made of silicon, it'll not perform overly well. |
OMFG a Barret.
Never saw one in Canada... Very nice piece of work! |
just wow nice m82, how much did it cost ya
|
That is amazing!

So, in my mind, yes, heavier can increase longevity due to the compressability of the air behind the heavier BB. |
