Hey that looks really nice? Must have been a lot of work. You should post a how to guide to convert a reg m14 to that model.

Flippy January 29th, 2012 08:26

Nooo!!!

The photos are from google... they're just for plan... I haven't started it!!!

To tell the truth it will be a piece of cake compared to my bullpup...

Will the motor still fit into the stock area with that set up? seems the angle would make it difficult..

peacekeeper January 29th, 2012 12:16

Yes; the M14E2, it was made from wood...
That's a plastic version M14SE2 (if I search /google M14E2 sometimes called M14SE2 too... so????)

To sum up this will be a composit ABS/polyesther resin/fiberglass modern variant with "M16" grip and stock.

The motor cage for MK14 Mod 1 and M14 DMR has a different angle. it tilts up rather than down like regular M14. You might wanna look into that.

Some progress...

PVC/PUR foam core+resin laminate will fill the huge gaps...

Flippy April 15th, 2012 16:44

More progress:

I think the end of the motor cage can be covered with laminate without heavily modding the original shape.

Flippy April 29th, 2012 11:31

I laminated together:
