KJW KP-07 1911 Full Metal
 

I have been having an issue with my KJW kp-07 Full Metal 1911 since the first day I got it basically.

The issue is that I only get about 4 shots out of a mag, I got the pistol from BuyAirsoft, I called them up and their solution was fill the mag, let the gas all out really fast then fill it and warm it up seeing as you can get more gas into a cold mag, however that doesn't work either.

I have 4 mags and they all do the same thing, could it be that the screw on the trigger is set incorrectly or is it possibly something else?

Are you filling them properly? With the propane bottle and mag upside down? And is the propane tank full?

I know that my Les Baer (which is a KJW KP07) came with a horrible mag that needed immediate fixing.

I agree with JGMarr, do a leak test on your mag, that's more than likely the issue.

Get a clear bowl and fill with water, let the mag take a swim and watch for bubbles. Bottom; your main seal is blown, fix with blue gasket maker from Can Tire. If it's the top, then the seal on your striker valve is blown, try to take it apart and silicone the rings over night and put it back together.

Re-lube the mag when your dunk test is done. It's made from an alloy metal but chemicals in the water may produce ill effects.

With the standard 1911 style mags? I have the same problem (with 2 mags). However I also have 2 MEU style mags that are extremely leaky and the problem does not happen with these. My guess is it's a design flaw in the magazine.

like rust? fill the mag, put it in a ziplock bag, push all the air out and seal it. come back in the morning see if it's puffed up. Puffed up = leak.

Mag won't rust, it's an alloy material. Calcium or chloride deposits might appear, clean the mag when finished and it won't be an issue...

Putting it in a bag won't tell him where the leak is; only that there is a leak.

It's not a leak seeing as how I can literally fill a mag, put it immediately into the gun and start pulling the trigger and its the same thing, if it was that fast of a leak then I would surely hear it.

There's something definitely wrong if you can only get a few shots.

You're either filling it wrong, or your propane tank is empty.

I will try with a new tank and see what happens.

I had a similar problem to this recently with my new KJW. Can you tell me if you went any further on this and got a solution?

My issue was the same, but I am using CO2.

I can see the gas vapor coming out of the gun almost wet and have terrible amount of shots I can get off.

NO mags are not leaking.

(I apologize, I am fresh on pistol knowledge, but god damn good on AEG)

Is there a specific item in these pistols that are prone to this symptom?
