Stripping paint off helmet?
 

Hi guys, like the thread title says I want to strip paint off a helmet, specifically this helmet:

Previous owner painted over it but I want to basically strip the old paint job off and apply my own paint job. I did think about simply painting over it but my main concern is the arc rails having too much paint built up on them that it impedes attaching accessories. I'm also planning to attach new velcro on it to tidy it up so I'm probably going to need to find a way to deal with glue (by the looks of it it's been reinforced with additional glue also).

Short of using sandpaper over every inch of the helmet are there any solvents that can be used to cleanly and thoroughly take the paint off?
