How much do you spend on airsoft parts per year?

I am just running a poll to figure out some numbers for a business plan.

I should be opening a store sometime in the new year. I am currently pending a loan from my bank. They are asking me to get some rough numbers for them. I am hoping you guys can help me, to help you.

The one thing I ask, is for the purpose of this thread, we can keep on the topic of airsoft spending and nothing else.

When the time comes to talk about my business, I will create a separte thread.

To answer the one question that is bound to come up sooner rather then later, my business WILL NOT be selling any kinda of guns.

So without further ado, I would like to know the ammount of money that the average players spends on parts every year.

For the purpose of this poll parts includes gear, batteries and mechbox parts.

If you include gear then you can at least triple the amount but I'm rather picky when it comes to gear. Anyway I answered 300$ and more.

Just parts or all of spent money? Parts ~$300US.
I have spent $500US on airsoft this year not including gifts estimating over $400US.

there is a lot of money in airsoft you just have to gain our trust, and reward us for it. I don't mean that there should be freebies, it would be nice, but kick backs either is customer service, sales or otherwise. Objective reviews, bulk BB purchases, and beginner packages would be nice. If it an interest of yours, playing airsoft will give you a better perspective on what we like and why.

good luck

How much to I spend on airsoft parts each year?

Enough to recieve a Christmas card from a retailer.

Buy what i shouldnt for a price i cant resist.

Drugs would be cheaper.

Scooby Steve December 11th, 2007 00:10

So far, over $600.

EDIT: Forgot to add the slide I"m expecting.

$50 in o-rings for the PTWs. At the rate I replace them, I'll have enough for about 3 more years. Add $10 in grease spread out over 3 years.

So, about $16/year. That includes all of last year as well.

please do not remind me and that will be enought to keep the employee's employed...

Yay! Free BBs!

mcguyver December 11th, 2007 00:24

I don't consider BBs parts. They are one of the only things you can cost-control, just by excercising fire control.

Jackals December 11th, 2007 00:26

I removed bbs from the list, good point mcguyver

evilmonkey December 11th, 2007 00:27

on what i consider to be "parts" i spend maybe $100 a year, but if you include guns and gear im in way over $300

BBS December 11th, 2007 00:31

$200-$300 got my vote
BBs are like what? $.005 cents each? (based on a 3000 round bag at $17)

best of luck to your new business.

Bauholzwolf December 11th, 2007 00:34

Hell, it's normally $300+ in a single purchase, and I make one every month...

Rukus December 11th, 2007 00:53

Well since this is my first year of airsoft I've probably spent about $1000 in gear and accessories for my rifles and tact vests, mags, sights, set of combats, goggles, though I'm getting a better pair soon, and misc stuff. Don't even want to think of how much I've spent by adding rifles to the picture. I'd probably only have a very few bills left to pay off lets just put it that way lol. Though next year it will probably be just over $300 because I have all the stuff I required to play, now I just need one more full set of gear and then I'm working on an AK load out lol.
