SCUBA spray is my new best friend

I have some ESS goggles that have consistently fogged all to hell whenever I have crouched in humid brush. I came to think of them as the "Don't Panic" shades from The Hitchhiker's Guide, since whenever a firefight broke out, I could no longer see anything.

I remembered that I picked up this cheap-ass anti-fog spray for SCUBA goggles in Mexico like seven years ago. It's the kind you spray on both sides, then rinse with water, then air dry.

So I tried it out for the Drug Bust game, and the shit works like a damn miracle. I had zero fogging issues all day while crouching around in wet, boggy brush.

Give it some consideration if you have fog problems. If you see me at a game and want to try it out, just ask, b/c I'll definitely have some in my bag from now on.

Hmm, I'm going to start looking for some good SCUBA sprays now; thermal lenses do a good job, but I found they don't eliminate the entire problem at times. Maybe this could be used in conjunction with thermal lenses?

what do ya think??

Hmmm... Maybe I should try that stuff. At Drug Bust, my ESS Land Ops were constantly fogged over, even with anti-fog spray.

Brand name?

I have ESS Advancer goggles, and they rarely, if ever fog up.

I just use the anti-fog cloth that came with it...never had to deal with any sprays.

cat crap? Amazon.com: Cat Crap Anti-fog Cleaner by EK: Sports & Outdoors

I found that "foggle" spray did not work for me when I applied it improperly...

But then when I did it worked like a charm, so make sure you AIR DRY and dont wipe the extra off....

PS: Dish soap works just as well, and you already have it. I used that when I found my goggles were fogging up again, and I was very happy with the result.

What is the procedure that you do with dish soap? You just rub it on? Rinse? Dry? What do you have to do?

Spread the dish soap around the surface and left it dry. Then using a soft cloth (I use cotton balls) buff it off in small circles like buffing a car. It works brilliantly on my ESS goggles. My glasses still fog underneath so I'm going to try using it on both my goggles and my glasses next game but I can tell you it works great on goggles.
