Star S-mag

I'm buying my CA M15A4 soon and i want to get a high cap mag, i like the Star S-mag. i need to know if it's alowed in airsoft games, and what most of your think of it. http://www.milsim-supply.ca/images/SAA-S-MAG-M16-L.jpg

Most games, like milsims, won't allow you to just smack a C-Mag on a regular M4. You have to have a dedicated LMG weapon, or else use lowcaps and midcaps.

PaCHeKo! September 26th, 2008 13:33

It looks cool but useless in a game since it cannot be classified in any role.

Muffin September 26th, 2008 14:07

Thats taking hicap to the extreme man, its alot more fun once you add the reloading factor into your games.

In general skirmishes where there are no ammo caps, you would be fine to use it. In milsim games where there are ammo caps you'd be best to leave it at home.
I agree with the fun factor of reloading.

It's confirmed that Cmags make you smile....

...but they're not really in the spirit of mil-sims. At most ad-hoc skirmishes no-one cares...

It it makes you happy...buy it.

went up against one of these at Defcon on monday, it is definitely be better to be on the side with one of these on it, but yeh reloading makes for more interesting games tho, and way more fun.

Haha, yeah. You could always tell when he was "reloading" (read electronically winding mag) his mag because it sounded like someone was racing an RC car around the field.

why are they calling it an s mag when its a c mag?

Because the manufacturer calls it an S Mag. Read the picture.

Dusti69 September 26th, 2008 16:19

oh i guess its like aftermath and crosman re-naming their guns different things than what they actually are
s mag = star mag apparently

Bissa September 26th, 2008 16:24

that is too much ammo for an M4

ShelledPants September 26th, 2008 16:51

You could always cardboard/duct tape mod it to be a more realistic capacity. But still, LMG gear only for LMG's. You need more than magazines to be accepted to most milsims.

Drake September 26th, 2008 17:34

Hide a 100 round midcap inside and it'll be milsim legal
