ASC Not Working Only For Me!
 

Ok I didn't notice that off-topic was moved, please move this then....

Ok about 16 hours ago I tried to go to www.airsoftcanada.com and I kept getting Address Not Found. This was the same in both Firefox and Internet Explorer. At first I thought the site was down but people started telling me it was working fine. So I tried pinging it and got a response.

So I typed the IP address of the website into the address bar and it loaded fine. When I tried signing in from the main page I received an error stating:
"In order to accept POST request originating from this domain, the admin must add this domain to the whitelist."

So I then sent a message to the admins through the "contact us". As a second thought I went into the forums first and then tried signing in which worked EXCEPT some of the forums are missing like the classifieds, off topic, etc (acting as though Im not signed in).

Obviously if you are reading this I can post still though.

So I need HELP on trying to fix this!

FYI - Off Topic has been moved from General to The Pit section...

And there's a lot of work going on behind the scenes with ASC right now. May take a while for the admins to get everything back to steady state.

Ok for some unexplained reason www.airsoftcanada.com started working for me again.....

This is the SECOND time though that I got an "address not found" for almost 16 hours while it worked for everyone else. This is getting annoying....

Maybe it's your DNS servers being funky? I'd recommend using opendns.com

I know it's a problem with my computer and not asc (since it was working for everyone else). I just thought I'd post it since some of the best computer minds are right on this website.

Ive been getting the same thing, the site wont load and i get errors on any browser i use. On my home network i cant get onto the site at all, but if i use a network from someone else in the APT building i can connect fine.

With the new server, I have trouble getting to the site from the CF DIN. I guess I just spend less time surfing and more time working....

www.airsoftcanada.com cannot be found.....

Have to log in through the IP address again....

If you can log in by IP, then that sounds like a DNS issue. With the servers having just moved, some DNSs may not have updated with the new IP maybe?

I was thinking the same thing... it's annoying that sometimes it works and othertimes it doesn't....

Again, I'd recommend using more reliable DNS servers.

And how do I go about doing that? Im a computer dunce lol

depends on your operating system, but there should be some step by step instructions on opendns.com
