KJW 1911 - Mag lasts only 4 shots?

was not filling properly =(

When you fill it are you sure you're filling it right?

It could be a slow leak or something but there is the possibility that you're not filling it right.

Obviously you know to do it upside down but did you know you have to have it line up perpendicular? I had a few problems my first few times with the gas just exploding off the sides and it was because I was holding the tank at a slight angle (not perpendicular).

Make sure you're using the right type of silicon oil too. I find if you use one that's too thick, it will tend to clog the fill valve. Has anyone else experienced this?

hmmm I'm using the silicone oil given to me that was packaged into the AI adapter kit.

also and Latency... is it supposed to be uber quiet when it fills?

The KJW mags are finicky. Sometimes mine will last 4 shots, sometimes an entire mag of 25. It just takes some practice and feel while filling them to make sure they actually take the gas.

KJW mags do fill quite quietly and there's no overspill like with TM mags to let you know when its full. But if you're in a quiet place you should be able to hear it. It shouldn't take more then three or four seconds tops to fill. The KJW 1911, due to the small gas reservoir and the metal slide you're not going to get a full mag worth of ammo for one gas fill, but you should get at least fifteen as long as the ambient temperature is decent.

Just to be clear on the filling procedure, the propane tank should be upside down and the adapter should go straight down to the fill valve on the mag.

yup, it goes straight down to the fill valve, while upside down.

it seems whenever I fill it and I hear hiss the gas goes in and when I don't hear a hiss, the gas isn't going in... correct?

the last fill I did was in room temperature, and it lasted 3 shots =(

you may have over charged it if you say you charged for 10 seconds.(seals may be blown)
ps: I can only shoot about 15-19 shots from mine with no slide lock either.

What are the signs that the seals are broken?
it's not leaking or anything... hmm this is weird, haha not used to GBB

Edit: thanks guys, I think I found the problem, I got a full clip out of it now!
it seems I didn't get the tank in straight with the valve XD
took 8 seconds, finally saw the gas spewing out.
