tm desert eagle

I really want one of these, but I don't want to have to buy duster, I'd much rather use propane. Will the gun last on propane?

You'll be fine.

As far as plastic slides go, TM is up there with the best of them.

I'm not saying there will be no wear and tear, but you shouldn't expect any serious problems any time soon.

The TM Desert Eagle is probably the best stock TM pistol to use with propane (will last longest).

agreed, damn accurate, 27 round mag, can shoot off 2mags roughly on one fill. slightly on the heavy side, though the hop-up access is easy as hell. duster gas does not do the blow back justice. the only wear i've heard of on the desert eagles is the loading nozzle will wear down eventually

Have you had experience with it before?

I had one for a while.
Felt very solid, however, its a little stupidly big for me. I switched to a hi-capa, much more field practical IMO

i used mine soooooo much on propane and the only thing that starts to wear is the slide around the catch aera... i stopped counting how many mags i've run through it...

Rumpel Felt February 17th, 2010 23:32

The main problem you'll run into no matter what gas you use, is the slide catch wearing down.

Other than that, I can't imagine not running the Desert Eagle on propane. The design reinforces itself. I had one for a while and ran nothing but propane. I think it's practically built to function on it. That being the only pussy plastic gun to do it with....

been on propane with mine since it came out. it loves it and i've never had a leak that couldnt be fixed with a turn of the screw on the bottom of the mag.
