you should check to make sure that cutoff lever is engaging the cutoff switch fully. my original VFC 416's cutoff lever would sometimes jam on the side of the switch (original V2 switch) as the section that pushes up on the switch was narrower than other brands. i swapped it out for a kingarms one.

have you tried running the gearbox with out the piston and spring to see if it might be an issue with the cutoff switch?

this is what sucks about working with these electric guns, gotta go step by step and eliminate possible issues.

also make sure to check for any possible shorts. i had to completely redo all the wiring on my switch. i had arching going on inside my gearbox that was messing up the firing cycle. working like a charm now.

i made a U shaped spacer and glued it in place with Loctite ultra gel super glue. it's kind of a rubbery version of normal super glue. seems to be holding great.
