there's a member here RPC28 who showed me a similar mask, though much thinner looking , basically a balaclava made with , I cant remember what. However the material is supposed to keep you cool, and draws the sweat away from your face etc. The result is no fogging up in your goggles etc. He is a rep for the product so you might want to contact him for more specific info. I believe it costs $29. He also sells shirts made with the same material. Sorry I cant be more specific, he was showing me these products at the last game at Dragon Ops.
Anyway the balaclave would offer you some protection for your mouth etc.
