If you want fancy and elaborate... do that, sounds like its in a bedroom over a work shop?
Keep it simple, neat, repairable, and strong... Just go pick up some hangers that either self screw into the studs, or take screws, use long ones as stated, and have rubber coatings on them, wide and deep for support of your weapons.
