Do a comprehensive walk around with your friends, and scan and rescan all areas. Remove all dangers, or clearly mark them. We had to fill in badger holes, found barbed wire, farming equipment, and automotive parts half buried in the ground from years past. You're always going to have slips, trips, and ankle biters, but try to remove as many as possible. Use stakes with orange flagging tape to mark hazards you cannot remove. If it's a hole, or object you can remove, throw an old tire over/around it, and spray paint it orange. Work out appropriate boundaries, you don't want to come into contact with non-player people in game. Let the land owners/families know to stay away when you're shooting. If they do cross your path, it's "guns down" until they are clear. Come up with a safe word you can use in this situation you can yell and/or radio out to alert others. Ask them to wear bright colors, even donate some $5.00 safety glasses to them incase they cross your path. But it's best of they just stay away.

What kind of farm is it? Old structures may not be safe to go in or on. Sileage, pig shit, and compost may contain H2S gas. Livestock, pets, and wildlife can be very dangerous. Farms can have lots of dangers, but if done correctly, can be a lot of fun.

Once I accidentally grenade'd a cow. He tore through the brush nearly trampling someone.

Another time the farm owners wife decided she wanted to photograph us. She hid behind a structure opposite my target, and then popped out in a shadow with her camera. I nearly shot her, luckily I didn't.

Anyways, it's important everyone knows the rules and risks.
