What you should've done is simply lube it up.
While I understand the reason behind sanding it, it will only create more trouble for you in the future. This includes:
-longer trigger travel (if you don't want this)
-failure for the trigger bar to engage the sear
-trigger over extension
and so on...
Lube it up. That's all you really need.
