That's the only thing I've seen go is the slide catch notch. Do yourself a favour, if wanting to run propane first then get a metal slide later, get an enhanced recoil spring and install it in your plastic slide, it'll absorb some of the rearward energy. I've been running plastic slides for a few years now on GBBs (mostly G19s and my MK23) and none have shown any damage except for a smearing of the notch. An X-acto knife fixed that for good in each case.
