The "farting" problem sounds like the mechbox not aligning with the hopup unit. The dboys hopup is crap in most cases. If the barrel is tweaked on too hard it can throw things out of alignment...same with the stock screw.
Not sure about the spring vibrating...I have noticed some with a more distinct "twang" than others...but I'd be hard pressed to make a generalization.
Always replace compromised wiring...best is to resolder a complete new wire from switch assembly to connector/fuse. Don't just patch in a bit of wire or cut it and reconnect it.
