No Gato, they (ATF and my uncles) tried to convert an airsoft gun to fire live rounds like an automatic rifle, they couldnt do it. From what you just typed, you converted the bodies, like i said was possible. but converting to a fully automatic rifle is impossible, you got ONE round off, making it a fully automatic rifle?

The King Arms GBBR is the first legal GBBR M4 to be sold down there.
yet the King Arms one is the identical to the same ones from Hong Kong...
Funny thing is KA GBBR's parts dimension (aside from inside of the nozzle) are 100% identical to Jing Gong, and WA. Now to spice things up, ATF actually converted a Jing Gong one and fire 3 rounds (search for it, but the only thing that was still Jing Gong was Pivot Ping, Lower Receiver, Selector, and Pistol Grip, everything else is using AR-15 part (with quite a lot of mod on the lower receiver)

Yes, this is indeed old news. The WE M4's were based off of the actual M4/M16 lower, so the ATF had to do minimal work to get it to accept real steel parts. That is all they are concerned about. They reported their findings to the importer, who then worked with WE to change their lower and now it is acceptable. The King Arms GBBR M4, for example, was submitted to the ATF and given an ok.

Here in the US, the lower of an M4 is considered the firearm--even if the rest of the gun is not included (barrel, upper receiver, bolt group, etc.)

It is old news. There is however significant development with the ATF memo last month. Is this old news too? The concern made by the blogger was the precedence made in the olofson decision with the memo.

IIRC it took them a few months and something like a hundred grand to do, no?
