Mock Silencer question
I have a VFC M4 that currently is running the stock barrel (No intentions to change it at present time).
My question is this: Adding a mock silencer but not extending the barrel; will this cause problems? |

Can't fix my own guns. Willing to fix yours.

you can shoot the silencer from the inside if its not on straight or if ur gun dont shoot straight.. and it makes your gun however much longer for no real reason, otherwise no problems

if your silencer is not in the BB path it will not have any effect on the gun.
if there is foam inside it will change the tone of the gun. It actaully silences my Daytona m4 |

I just did this with my m4 and it shoots exactly like it did without it, but looks a little more bad ass!

I plan on taking one of the outer barrel extensions off and putting on a mock silencer which most of would be hidden by the rail on my Recon. Trying to find one that sticks out just past the barrel currently installed. I guess worst case I can put in a new barrel that is longer if needed.

This is a CYMA "Mk18" silencer. It uses a quick-detach flash-hider that remains in place. I've not bounced any BB's off of the interior of this, that i know of. You could also use an extended inner barrel with this, if you chose to tight-bore accurize it. |

I think he means more like this, where the outer barrel ends inside the rails, so the suppressor is also inside the rails.

A foam filled silencer 'can' change the report down range. YMMV.
If the inner barrel doesn't enter the silencer the risk of hitting the inside of the end cap is high. |

Cobra nailed it! That is exactly what I am looking to do!
However, less sticking out the end but PERFECT example of what I am trying to achieve. EDIT: Can someone answer me this; does the 10.5" VFC outer barrel come apart into two pieces or do I need to pick up the 8.5" outer barrel? It "looks" like it might but I cant seem to figure the damn thing out or find anything online to help me out. OR I could just get the quake flash hider instead. It fits the look I am going for. http://www.wgcshop.com/wgc2008/main/...&view_choice=c Last edited by chaz; October 6th, 2013 at 23:06.. |

I found that having a spring in which the foam rings can sit on helps with a silencer too. Doesn't deform any of the rings (at least as far as i know)
