e's Tokyo Marui Glock 17: "Salient Arms International"
Hi all,
I had this configuration for a long while now. I figure to share it. Had to re-vamp the gun with a few bits and bobs to maintain functionality. But, still functions quite well. This is one of my many race-gun configurations. ....cuz...why the hell not? For Production/Open Divisions. Anyways, this is my take on Tokyo Marui's Glock 17. Also, sorry for the poor lighting. This is a good place to put this; who's got a line on "checkering files"?
The file is what you want to put an nice even grid on a roofing nail; and then you put that nail in your iron and get that nice prominent stippling pattern.

How thick do you want your checking pattern lines to be?
I usually just lessen the width of a hack saw blade and gently go to town on the current project. Just because it already has the cutting teeth as I'm too lazy to cut them in on a piece of steel. I've never actually tried it on the polymer frame of an airsoft Gun though. Just on a few picture frames and wooden buttstocks. If you get the width of the blade right and the lines straight, it looks pretty cool. Like 1911 grips... I don't know about heated tips. Sounds like it'd be a lot easier than what I'm used to doing. lol...
