Red face AK-74 modifications; thoughts?

Hey everyone,

I just recently bought my WE PMC AK and I'm now looking into modding it, however, I'm not to sure what would be the better choices in the array of mods, upgrades and/or attachments available. I know looking into sights is a good start, but I thought I would ask for the opinions of more veteran airsofters who may or may not run AK-74's themselves.

Any suggestions would be fantastic and I appreciate the time and effort to those who drop a comment.

Thanks!

-EP

Are you plan to upgrade the internals to get better performance? Or you want to "dress it up" externally? Or both?
AK74 made by which company?

It depends on how you want it to look. Tactikool or classic. All my AK's are classic. So I can suggest a thing or two. You can look at Russian RDS variants or PSO variants. Adding GP 25/30 is another option. If you have a skeleton folding stock, having first aid kit in stock and red army tourniquet will add realism to the look.

Burn marks on upper handguard will add more realism as well. So as simple metal key ring put through cleaning rod.
Silencers can also be added to Spetznaz look, if you want to get one make sure it's proper type for your AK because different versions use different silencer models.
P.S If you add a GP it's also a good idea to buy stock rubber pad:

If you wanna do it the classic way... look no further than beastor's setup:

Absolutely beautiful ak setup. It looks fucking MEAN. If I didn't get an RPK74M I would've gone this route.

Definitely run it with a mix of AK and RPK mags the picture desmodus provided shows it with an rpk 45 rounder.

Edit: Aw damn didn't see it was a WE. No RPK mags then

Oh, wow; thanks!

Mine is less classic, so I suppose I'd be looking more into Tactikool. I thoroughly appreciate the suggestions and ideas however. Looking into a few now. Though, I think I have my work cut out for me cause I need to do some research on a few things you said, lol.

Thanks again!

If you're interested in a more tactikool approach, check out WGCshop.com. They have some really cool AK upgrades. I have a Hephaestus rail on my AK74, and I love it.

I have the Hephaetus rail as well on mine. Dunno much about the fucking tacticool term, but this rifle serves me well without having to much useless stuff on it;
