socom gear hitman m9 review
hey everyone. thought id do a little review on the new hitman m9 i just picked up. so here it is.
externals: the gun is full metal with some pretty fantastic trademarks on it. the most noticable being "the hitman" on the left side o the slide. also included on the opposite side is an engraving saying "no women, no kids" paying homeage to the movie "the professional" in which the gun can be seen in. also ingraved on the frame is "made in hell by socomgear". all nicely engraved. also immediately noticed is the "algimec by la. ri. a. not sure what it means but is most likely the companys name that makes the massive, metal, vented top compensator that is included with the gun. the grips are plastic and are checked. they are comfortable and are marked with the socomgear logo. sights are standard m9 sights with only the front having a white dot. not a great feature as it makes it a little difficult to line up shots in low light environments. barrel comes with an orange tip that appears to be threaded into the barrel. there may be threads for a silencer adapter. ( will update when certain). everything makes nice metal on metal sounds when racked. super simple take down of gun. comes with a lanyard loop and a spare recoil rod to take off the flashhider. comes with metal 26 mag. internals internally the gun looks solid however the gun does come from the factory loaded with really bad quality grease. i'd advise cleaning and lubing this gun after purchase. the pistol takes down completely very easily, not like some of the older m9's ive owned (which were a huge p.i.t.a.) gun shoots at 320 out of the box. cycles extremely well and is very accurate. fully tm compatible. overall overall the gun is a very nice peice. as a collecters peice its very nice, especially if you liked the movie. for a gameable gun its nice and accurate. the compensator really balances the gun out. i give it 5 out of 5 stars. you can even get 50 round mags for it.

Seems like a good buy. Like you said, would be a nice collector's piece.
Thanks for the review. |

Just a nice little tidbit to include. The compensator is also threaded for use with a silencer like in the movie. I would however advise running a longer inner barrel threw it as the stock inner doesnt reach the end of the compensator.
Ill post pics soon and also include an accuracy test

Where did you get it? And do they have an online store?
I've been looking for that pistol in Canadian stores online and can't seem to find one. |
