Question Paint on Sniper Rifles

Hi All,

I am building my own Sniper rifle, firing mechanism design is complete, and small scale tests show great results, so I will begin building it within the next 2 weeks, many pictures will follow (I am custom building everything except the inner barrel). I have one question though, can anyone here think of a good way to paint the bolt that the paint wont rub off? Maybe someone knows of a good paint for the job? And a place to get it from?

Thanks.

I used dry graphite lube, is a spray that I hosed on like spray paint, went on dark graphite colour (yet an odd olive drab/grey colour in sunlight) and dried in a few mins. Sticks well, has a lubricating nature to it (is why it is) and seems pretty steadfast. Where to get it............ dunno, but all you have to do is ask around. I got mine from work.

You are building your rifle from scratch?

That's interesting. Are you basing your work on an existing model?

It was a project of mine for quite a few time, but I'd go with existing parts and fit them in a custom body. But I lake some skills, money and time to do it.
