ics mp5 sd5 mods - advice
hey guys, I want to install this rail system
link but I need to confirm with you guys that I need to get a new cocking tube assembly first. I tried to search in a couple different stores but i cann't find anythign other then a CA frotn end. Will this work and is there any drawbacks to getting the CA front end to put on my gun. Is it a straight up drop in part or will mods have to be done to it? I just like the look of this rail better then most others I have seen and would rather not have to buy an entire new gun just so i can use this rail system. any and all advice is appriciated. thanks |

just buy the sd rail kit from ics. it's $70 u.s. on wgc and designed to fit on your gun. by the time you buy the rail your looking at + a whole new front end to make your gun an "a4" which is what that rail fits, it would be cheaper for you just to buy a different gun like the tm mp5 r.a.s.

I agree it would cost more money, however I'm pretty much stuck on the looks of this perticular rail (or the Nitro Vo rail that WGC has). apon further searching I found that G&G makes a front end for $70 and is sold over at UNCompany.
I am mainly trying to make sure I *need* to get a new front end for that perticular rail to work. I'm not so much worried about the money as long as I can get the look that I like. I just need to make a shopping list and get the peices I need from the buy/sell section here or brand new. |
