Here's the setup:
KA M4 Upper Receiver with 14.5" Outer Barrel ACM Noveske 13.5" Rail - Same batch and model sent to chaz
Note: The Noveske nut is threaded on both ends - one for AEG threading and one for GBBR threading. VFC is capable of accepting both, but you need to make sure you use the right side. Otherwise, your nut will sit incorrectly on the threads and your rail won't be centered. It's highly possible chaz got a lemon one made on a Friday, but I still assert that this rail is one of the best Noveske NSR replicas on the market, especially with accurate trademarks deeply engraved on it. Chaz - if you want it, this rail has your name on it. Just say the word and it goes out to you on Monday. John Last edited by Stealth; January 30th, 2015 at 21:05.. |

Can you confirm which side is the correct side for the VFC upper as both fit almost exactly the same. I simply went with the one that fit snuggly.
I also took out the bottom 2 screws and the rail lined up like your pictures above. I am wondering if simply putting a couple washers between the rail and the barrel nut on the bottom would be enough to keep the rail from going crazy? I don't want you to send me a new rail if I can simply tweak the rail to work. Last edited by chaz; January 30th, 2015 at 21:46.. |

took everything apart and the rail is true. My VFC body is true (tested with the stock rail that came off).
Put back together minus the one screw that appears to be causing it to pull the front of the rail down and everything lines up. I am going to put in a washer as mentioned which should keep it true. I want to say thanks to Stealth for coming in and offering me a replacement rail. |

Damn man, I'm late to the party?
Yeah totally forgot there's a GBB and AEG side (metric/imperial). Anyway, mine's pretty straight to me...but yes, there is a very small height step between the upper and the rail. Beyond that, it's still parallel to the upper though. (yes it takes RS NSR panels) Also in terms of realism - the keymod even has the scalloped profile on the backside as per RS Noveske spec. Not sure if it's immediately obvious in the photo below but the scalloping is very subtle. For the record, I'm not affiliated with the store any longer but I do stand behind the product descriptions which I did write. :P chaz, when you tightened the Torx bolts, did you do the bottom ones first, then left and right in alternating orders? This may make a difference. Similar to putting on wheel nuts in a cross pattern to ensure proper snugness and alignment, I would apply the same principle here.

Bought it based on Stealths outstanding service and known for selling quality parts. As pesto pointed out the Madbull stuff isn't always that great either.
