There's a certain appeal to having issued kit over after-market kit...

Personally, I couldn't tell you why the TacVest is so popular. I got rid of mine pretty quick after buying it...

Hey MikeL how is the 2/3 mounted on the bayonet PALS (sp? lol) section of the vest? Did you manage to pass two MALICE clips or just zip-tied it?

There‘s nothing more dangerous than a Private with a choice or a 2nd Lieutenant with a map.

Holy arrogant bastages, thank God we have you to protect us! I forgot that professional soldier are the omnipotent Canadians! Crap, I've never seen a guy move around the country as fast as you dispensing wisdom.
Fire the rest of the world we have a Corporal !!

This is a thread about Canadian Kit !!! It even says "Canadian loadout" If you are the deligated Military Police Big Brother Mouth Peice please show your papers at the door or GTF out! Don't give the beat down to a Czech fan or an Itailan guy or your fellow Canadians. Your Army Buddies don't care either.
"being in the army is like pissing in a wetsuit; you get a warm tingly feeling
all over, but no one fucking notices"
So stop coming here to be a big soldier boy and kicking dirt on everyone to get your Jollies and think people will notice. This is about Airsoft.
Jerk, your giving Soldiers a bad name.

Why would anyone wear a kevlar helmet for airsoft?

Umm, do you have any proof it has? if so show it, don't leave vague responses like that.
Yea, I was referring to issued vests not ones guys bought on their own. A lot of different rigs have been used by troops in Afghanistan.

MikeL this is a pattern you have. Reveiw the thread and see for yourself. I seem to have singled you out but you'll notice that there's a few other Civy bashing posts here, from Alleged members of the forces. This is Internet Airsoft collectors with BB gunz, Not the Army, leave Mildisipline at the door.
I enjoy going off at some posters too, some one needs to fix the 's
I'm not a MOD, Dude, I sell Pants! but I'd like to remind you that most of the people here are Posers in Most senses of the word, so don't bash them with your reality on the Airsoft Interweb, please.
I'm sure your a good soldier, practice thinking outside the box.
Thanks for removing the the post, good luck getting eR_Skaarj to repost.
Cheers

Weak dude.

MikeL stating it's illegal to own stolen kit is the same as all the people here bitching how it's illegal for a minor to own an AS gun. Breaking the law is breaking the law.

Anyways, like already said, I don't see why everyone loves CF gear. Yes, some of it's good but you'll be hard pressed to find a infantier who hasn't replaced some issued kit with personal items, ie. boots, winter gear. Everyone loves snivel kit.

Simply because they don't have to use it on a day to day basis. They mean no disrespect for wearing it...imitation is the sincerest form of flattery. kit going on the free market has been around since Christ was a corporal no easy solution to that problem.

Edit:
When I got out of the forces I had 3 Barrack boxes (was only issued one(1)) full of gear....It was aquired over the years, any Infanteer that says he does not have shit stashed away is a bold faced liar. Be it rations, web gear, gortex, boots etc etc.

The reason MikeL is being so stubborn about civies having issued kit is because in the military it is seen as a very serious crime to sell off your kit. It is a chargeable offense and can get you kicked out of the military. So in him warning people about it he is also warning us military guys that our kit was given to us by the CF and that it is not for anyone else but us.

Double standards...

If anyone comes out of military service, even cadets, they'll always have extra kit kickin' around...scrounging is a way to survive
