The spring connectors are actually a metal pin inside a spring with a washer similar to the recoil spring/ guid rod in a pistol only alot smaller. I've seen this type of connector before, not on an ASG but somewhere else, just can't remember where.They are not attached to the gearbox, the wiring comes out the back as normal and the spring connectors are mounted in back of the lower receiver.

OK I've got mine now too. If you can't pull off some snaps I'll get a couple nice macros.

First impressions?

It's tiny. I have an image of a C1 locked in my head so any smaller rifle seems toylike. With the QCB barrel it's just about as big as a G36C.

The selector switch etc. are also located more conveniently and have a short throw. I haven't set up the range and tested it yet so I can't comment there. Here's a teaser from the manual.

I found some pictures of the internal of the VFC SCAR, I debated with my friend who has Systema M120 gearbox. Apparently, the Systema V2 gearbox will fit no problems as per say on the diagrams from Guarder. The only thing which may not be able to replace is the SELECTOR PLATE, looks like modified V2 Selector plate, but that will not pose a problem just swap and done.

The next piece will the ambidextrous lever just below the selector plate. At first I thought there won't be able to fit on aftermarket V2 gearbox but however, there is hole where you can place just like on VFC SCAR gearbox; of course this is just speculation. I will try this however. So, I'm keeping my fingers cross :P

Most important piece is the trigger assembly and wiring which hopefully be a simple swap poses no problems.

FYI, VFC SCAR gearbox is 7mm not 6mm, so far reading from reviews no break downs from other users.

Check it out;

I see you are all wondering if a Systema Mechabox will work in the VFC Scar. I have a Systema in my VFC HK416 DX and my brothers getting the VFC SCAR-L DX cause I went a head and got it for him for X-MAS should be here no later than the 18th(gotta love UPS tracking, evike.com finaly got em' in stock and shipped the pre-order on friday.) I will check the fit and finish and do a video review of both the VFC SCAR and VFC HK416(been meaning to do this one) with the Systema Mechabox on the day after XMAS 26th.
