Just picked mine up, recoil is excellent, and accuracy aint half bad. I ended up putting a shorter barrel in it for fps restrictions, but it shoots great. This thread has quite a bit of gold in it, so thank you all for posting.

I can also confirm that real steel rubber handguards fit the newest gen 2 SD.

Speaking of the V2 MP5, is there any chance it's going to be compatible with the V1 mags ? Or is it going to be redesigned. I've got a pending order for some V1 mags and I don't know if I should refrain from buying them...

there was a video testing the backwards compatibility of the v1 vs v2.

the v2 uses a new bolt carrier system and recoil guide, as well as the new mag.

v1 mags would not be compatible with v2 and v2 mags would not be compatible with v1 mp5s unless you get the v2 bolt carrier group and recoil guide

Two questions:
1) Is there an upgraded Hop-Up rubber available or is the stock it? Anything from Maple Leaf for example?
2) is there a disassembly video out there?

V2 mags will work with V1 system, the only thing needed is cutting the bottom mag release retainer so that it does not press on the valve when inserting the mag - v2 mags have longer release valve pin.

I just bought a used umarex/vfc mp5. Is there any airsoft dealers that sells CO2 magazines for it.

Wherever I looked it was out of stock. But the v2 GG mags are really good. What?s your version? New or old one?

I want to install a threadded barrel onto my stock mp5k. Looking at this

The mp5k barrel dont have any treads on it at the moment.
