Crane stock battery charging
Hi,i just got my crane stock Vltor M4 by the mail. This is my first crane stock and changing batteries is a pain. Can i leave my battery IN the crane stock to charge it?
I have a good charger that i can configure amp intake, mah total and all that. When i finish charging my batteries they are quite hot. |

How much mah does your battery have and at how many amps do you charge it?
Rule of thumb is not to charge your battery at a rate of more than one Amp per 1000 mah. Charging you battery more slowly will reduce the heat generated by the charging process. Just as an example I use 9.6V 1600 mah batteries in my AKS-74U. I charge them at a rate of .9 mah and there is very little heat build up. |

lower your amps and the battery wont get as warm. It will just take longer to charge.

caveat: overheating your battery will damage/shorten it's lifespan. my 9.6v 1400mah use to get awfully hot when charged at 2-3 amps. it doesn't even get warm anymore. **please don't tell me not to charge at high current. been doing this for ages on many types of batteries and have no issues with them. |
