Non bullpup rifles?

I guess you could call em standard-layout rifles, but whatever you call them I've never been a huge fan of them. However I have always heard that they're more comfortable to shoot and get around with and you can get your muscles really tight.

Now, my AUG should be fine for outdoors, but I'm just curious as to how playing with a different rifle might feel.

However I don't like M4s. Everyone uses them. I just see way too many of them...

ANYWAYS, I've been looking at an HK416, a Bushmaster ACR, or an FNC/AK5. There's tons of brands and such to choose from though so I ask ya'll which one you'd recommend yourself?
Personally I'd prefer the AK5C looking something like this:

but if you think there's a better rifle, let me know!

Thanks guys

SA58 OSW, kinda looks like that gun and it's a classic army, not sure if your gun there is in airsoft flavour.

I have all different kinds of bullpup and normal rifles, even bullpup bolt action sniper rifles, I really see no difference except maybe the front end is a bit heavier, depends of the gun though.

and if they do anything to your muscles you gotta hit the bench bro, and stay at it for a long time

Bullpups in real life are friggin great.......Airsoft? Kinda lopsided....I used a FAMAS for a game and didn't like the balance.

Bullups are way more better for smaller people like myself IMO. I could not see myself carrying a M4 or a M249 out onto the field.

What about the Scar, G36 family?

No lol I mean you can make your muscles tighter because of the way the grips and such are and you can train your aim better, I didn't mean lifting one is a workout if thats what you think I said :P Like I mean getti9ng your forearm closer to your firing hand kind of thing, tightens up your muscles and prevents wobbly aim see what I mean now?
Oh and I work outside all day doing construction/labor 40h a week, i get enough exercise as it is sir

and yeah I know bullpups IRL are totally different than airsoft. Longer barrel for same gun length = better tumble and fragmentation (using a 5.56 anyways)... But I like my AUG's balance, it's all in my shoulder.

The scar I could do maybe... the G36 family is always a pretty solid choice. If anything I would go for the G36K (with the classic raised sight, not the rail), unless you would say otherwise

Let me be clear here guys, I'm asking what your personal favorite standard rifle is and why you would recommend it? My ideas were just things I was daydreaming about. But the more suggestions the merrier! DOESN'T HAVE TO BE ON MY LIST

M4.........easy.

Versatile, sexy, abundant, easy to get parts for, sexy, powerful, accurate, sexy............sexy

oh and, I keep my arms as close to my body as possible. There is no issues doing so with an M4 IMO.

Carrying an M4 and a 249 are wayyy different lol

To the OP
In all honesty...you have the luxury in airsoft of choosing a rifle that you enjoy...so pick something you like cuz you're gonna spend lots of money and time on it. Personally, I enjoy the real estate of lots of rails...and I was never one for bullpup design. So naturally I lean toward an Armalite platform. If you can get your hands on a VFC 416...that'd be my top choice...

What are you talking about? The M4 is tiny and nowhere comparable to a M249 rofl. I actually don't really like M4's much but definitely would LOVE a VFC SOPMOD with tan covers and a few tan accessories. IMO, a very sexy gun. I would think the SCAR is a bit bigger, still very nice.

I am not familiar with airsoft.

What my question is, does the element of surprise work on a typical airsoft match?

I think AK-74s are pretty sexy. If you aren't into AKs, I suggest a G36K.

Well let me tell you then although I love almost all bullups, I must say the Scar, G36 (can be converted to a XM8 which I also love) and HK 416 would be my standard assault rifle of choice just cause all 3 offer a different look then the M4/M16(hate the M16, would rather hit people with a stick then use this).

All three can A) be customized like crazy, so many parts available for all models B) I can think of atleast 1 company that produces amazing versions of each of those 3 guns and C) its not a M16.

Now if you haven't seen the zombie hunter M4 go look that up on airsoft Gi that is a sweet looking thing I wish I got if only the pond of funds weren't so low. That is the only M4 I personally like.

Oh forgot almost, M14's are so sexy. Its a M1 grand modernized into a beautiful peace of weaponry. My weapon of choice for a zombie apocalypse

Also ACRs or Masadas are a sweet gun as well however price range from them is a bit high. Atleast for me, maybe not for you though.

For "other" rifles (that are not sub-guns)....

KA FAL's are great (go full stock)...CA's FAL are a fail 'cause you can't get mid cap mags for it (otherwise a great rifle).

KA Galil's are great too. Haven't seen a bad one yet. ICS' version is ok...but no where near the same fit/finish.

CA G3 variants....awesome...go with full stock for big battery

249's are great (heavy though...get a BFG SAW sling)

Personally I have never cared for any AK except for the short AKS74U...and the Galil which is AK-esque.

VFC makes a solid SCAR...personally I think the SCAR looks ugly...but they work well.

If you can manage it TM M14 (not CA/G&G). The regular one and the shorter SOCOM are kick ass.

DO NOT like the SIG55x stuff...battery placement sucks balls.

DO NOT like G36 series (I've had 4 of them over the years) solely because of the honking big mags

I'd suggest something from the AK family, if you're looking for small go with a spetz.

Yeah I just changed from using an TM AUG for 3 years, to a CYMA AKS74U and I love it. (I'm not a small guy either)

Not that the AUG was bad or anything, I just wanted to change.
