Question We scar gbbr

Just got this beauty a couple of days ago at a local retailer, and I'm happy with it (so far). It's got a propane/GG mag included out of the box, and I have a CO2 mag already on pre-order. It's mostly metal --- Metal internals, upper receiver, flash hider, and rails --- with a polymer, fiberglass reinforced lower receiver, grip, and stock.

First and foremost, I'm a little concerned about the quality of the plastic. I've read that it's "Near military quality," and it's existance is only because it's trying to emulate an actual FNH SCAR which includes a plastic lower receiver, grip and stock.

But still. It's not metal, it's on my mind.

Secondly, I'd really like to find a relatively easy way to bump the FPS down. On CO2, that thing shoots in excess of 450. I don't really want to be shooting at flesh and blood with that... But I don't want it reduced too much. I'll probably have a CO2 mag as well as a Propane mag during scrims, and it fires around 350 on GG.

Any help provided would be fantastic... And this is my first post. Please go easy on the n00b :P

Pics related, it's mine.

search other threads more...there's lots of gas rifle threads (lots of guys refer to them as GBBR...gas blow back rifle) already. Narrow down on RAtech's part...not TSC (or TCS...can never remember).

don't worry about the plastic...it's great right up until it breaks. CO2 accelerates the wear and tear. (see other threads...)

Unless it was a gift from your wife/girlfriend...ditch that vert grip...it looks hideous.

Get age verified

A question about an upgrade or modification would go in the Upgrades and Modifications section.

welcome to ASC

Are you a moderator, or do you know of one who's online? I accidentally clicked the wrong date and didn't check it. :/

Those two posts will explain how you can get AV'd. It might take a couple weeks but if you're lucky it'll go through quicker. This is the only way to get verified and yes, it is absolutely necessary before we can help you. In the meantime I'd suggest browsing through the Upgrades/Mods section like M102404 said.

Age verified, eh? Well, that seems like an unnecessary amount of work to no end gain, considering I'm underage.

So you wanted to falsely declare your age to avoid this website's policy concerning minors, but then found out it wasn't that simple?

I hate to say it but with that sort of attitude you might find this is a [/HELP] kind of moment.

edit: wait what retailer sold to a minor?
easy killers. He isn't asking where to buy but is asking how to reduce the fps. Look up npas. Its the easiest way to adjust the fps. Btw c02 likes to make the bolt catch stop working after about 100 rounds. Also take some jbweld and put a good patch on either side of the hammer bearing ping axle. That likes to fall out after a few rounds.

and as a bonus bit of info wally world is the cheapest local place to buy co2 caps. 72c as apposed to the usual 86c. And yah its about 72c per mag to shoot this gun plus ammo.

oh loktite the npas in when you get it or it likes to unscrew and than break things....

and yes the hopup sucks for the first while but it does break in.

being you are under age please be very careful with your new toy. A 15 year old kid just had 3 of his pistols destroyed out here because someone saw him shooting It and called the cops.
