trading between canada and the U.S.

im trying to trade with someone over at canada and i was told he has a full metal ares m4a1. i was told by him that it is ok to send my gun without lower reciever since canada regulations wont allow it. if i send my gun to him would my gun still be seizable? if so should i also discard the upper reciever?

You can buy a full metal Ares M4a1 in the US for half the price

It's not good to trade with us for that reason, and most of what you send will be seized at the border (full guns, lowers, etc).

Just buy a brand new gun in the U.S. for $200.

well done for taking the time to ask,

first of all, as gunscythe has mentioned, it is possible that it will be seized. the deciding factor isn't just 'if it has the lower reciever' the deciding factor is the agent who searches the package, they could decide that something isn't allowed and then you or the person has to deal (read appeal) against the order to destroy, this (so i'm told) could take a year and doesn't promise that they will give it back..

so, my question is, are you willing to loose your gun? or is the other person going to send you his gun after he's recieved yours? (in which case, if it's seized can he say that he doesn't have to send it?)

food for thought but personally it's not worth it. (why doesn't this guy talk to a supplier in the US and do this... maybe because they know it's not a 100% sure thing)
