Real Sword new AR-15 AEG-Magnetic Blowback?!?
Hmm, first time I heard this, about Real sword making a unique AEG system for their M4/M16 (Not shape, but function)
Old news: RS Making Magna (WA) GBBR w/ Forge T-7075 Aluminum RS Making AEG w/ Forge T-7075 Aluminum New news (correct me if I'm wrong) YouTube - Redwolf Airsoft - IWA 2011 Real Sword Booth YouTube - AATV @ IWA 2011: Real Sword However, apparently the 'bolt' actually can be pulled. For those wonder why there's the odd stuff in front, that's the hopup chamber (Looks exactly like a Escort system) nvm, apparently I skipped AATV's video on the RS Shoot me Last edited by kullwarrior; March 30th, 2011 at 02:16.. |

You'd think a proper electric blowback system would be on the way. So far as I can tell, it's batteries that would hold it back--except lipos are now super cheap.
After seeing the difference between high end NiMh cells and cheap lipos, I couldn't believe what we could be missing out on. PS: I didn't watch the videos :P

I really curious how the m4 will function and how a battery will be able to power all that.

Hm.. isn't it similar TOP shell ejecting M4 that came out recently?
edit - I just rewatched it and jeeze the bolt seems like it's very heavy.. don't think it would acually use real steel interals parts.. Last edited by Eien; March 30th, 2011 at 03:57.. |

Really interesting. RS somehow employs the electro-magnetic mechanism currently used commercially in glass doors like in office buildings....you swipe your passcard and the door magnetic contact demagnetizes to unlock the door and after a few seconds reactivate to 'lock' it. So RS has scaled this mechanism down for EBB application. And yes, it makes sense to have a steel or aluminum receiver to withstand the constant pounding it will get with EBB. Props to RS if they can pull this off.

Realsword has produced only high quality products so this new system will only be released if it matchs their quality standard and fit it is released I "might" consider buying an M4.

seems that I'll wait to get a EBB M4 from them !!! the bolt looks HEAVY so the blowback will be crisp

Another thing though is that most of the parts and internal would have to be aluminum or non-magnetic rather than steel other than the bolt of course (assumption), if magnetic mechanism will be employed. Dollar translation on this could be pretty high.

This seems like a heavy bolt! It seems that they will use the same body for this special AEG and their GBB-R M4 if I've seen correct in the video.
Unfortunately, half of our Silverbacks won't be able to handle this gun due to the fact that half of them have a peacemaker |

Could both system be interchangeable? Now, that would be cool. Aargh next year is really going to be expensive. (And sooner than I thought)

Gah, I can't believe I missed the RS booth at IWA, where the fuck were they?
After researching NORINCOs role in PLA covert action operations, I pledged to never again by any of their products, but this is fucking tempting as hell... |

Realsword ISN'T Norinco.
They just purchased one of Norinco's old factory. The only similarities is the machinery used to create these products. |

Realsword ISN'T Norinco. I agreed. somehow they gotta have some connection. Just see how they get the blueprint of type 97 from Norinco.
