Scar H semi not firing
Hey all,
So When I fire in semi for a bit or right away, no bb's will come out...but as SOON as I switch to auto they will fire. I then switch to semi and it will work for a bit then start blank firing. I repeat the process of switching to auto then back to semi and it will fire again.... Any thoughts? |

This is 'normal'. I assume by BBs will not come out as the gun won't cycle at all.

Its normal for the scar to fire blanks for no reason what so ever until I fire a few rounds in auto and switch back? That seems like a terrible in built feature for a gun. :/

Sounds like a problem with the hopup or feepath. On auto the nozzle pounds away at it enough to force some BBs through but on semi you only get one kick for each pull.

Any suggestions on how to check those? Keep in mind that ive got basic knowledge and am still learning my way around AEG's.

Well right now you can maybe fix it or maybe make it worse and then pay someone else to fix it. If you hand it to a gun doc before it's been mauled it's going to go a lot easier for your wallet. That's the first bridge you need to cross.
If you go ahead check your feedpath, your hopup chamber alignment, and that the rubber and the nub are properly positioned.

Again, I have to ask is the gun cycling when you pull the trigger or is absolutely nothing happening when it 'blank fires' on semi.
If the gun is not cycling at all then this is the 'normal' semi auto hangup problem. if the gun is actually cycling then you have a problem. and to add to Danke line make sure that you hopup is seated firmly against the gearbox shell when the gun is closed up. |
