These things will be sold out before the weekend...
I'm still holding off on buying these overpriced metal kits as it's only a matter of time before those Taiwan companies start producing their TM 226 knockoffs.. I just purchased a WE Hicapa 5.1 and the craftsmanship on it is really good. The slide to frame fit in particular is REALLY good. There's virtually no slide play at all.. It's even tighter than a WA stock pistol.

At a price of $309.00 USD a kit... thats more than I would be every willing to spend on any part of a gun.

And yet your Hi-Capa is worth more than 1g at its current state.

supply and demand.. WGC *KNOW* this thing will sell at $400 so they smartly jacked it up since no one else has it right now.. and seeing as though the p226 metal slide sold out in 1 day!!! they know this thing will sell..

got a few buddies overseas that already own the kits,
and according to them the fitting of metal slide to lowerframe
is not exactly perfect, on a tighter side they say, some filing required for better fit..sure this won't stop 226 enthusiasts tho
