Ares G36 Gearbox
I want to upgrade my Ares G36 gear box, my thought is to just buy one already done and build the other as a spare, any thoughts on that out there and who would be the best to go to for an upgraded version?

Well it all depends. What kind of gun do you want to build?

I would like to upgrade for performance and endurance. I use my G36 as a light support weapon with electric S-mag. I like it more than the SAW or M60, it's lighter and can easily be reconfigured when the task changes.

I've never tried to put a different gearbox in my G36 but I'll remind you that Ares' EBB system could make the shell proprietary. If you restrict yourself to 2-3 second bursts(any longer and you're a freaking cheater unless you're carrying an actual LMG) you should be fine with your stock gearbox as long as you don't use an 11.1 lipo.

Thanks Stripes, I am light on the trigger and I don't do 11.1 lipo. You waste way to much ammo and it's hard on the mech. I was never trained on an actual G36 and the training I do have me makes me appreciate the fact that in stead of only 100 rounds per mag, I have 3000! I'll leave my G36 as it is. Still very formidable!
