Can I put that on my ICS M4A1 R.I.S?
Hi all,
I have an ICS M4A1 R.I.S and i'm trying to find another method than the Battery Box for my battery storage. I've seen this on Redwolf Airsoft : G&P M4A1 Extended Battery Buttstock (Black) for Marui M4 Series at this page : http://www.redwolfairsoft.com/redwolf/airsoft/Category? I know they are saying that's for Marui but can you say me if it would be compatible with ICS ones? Oh, and another question, how to change the FlashHider? I think i need a sort of Hexagonal Key... so... Thanks ^^ |

You could install this but keep in mind that the wiring will have to be rerouted to the back of the gun and you'll have to buy a battery made specificly for this. As for the flashhider, yes you need an hex key to remove it. I recommand you get yourself a complete set of hex screw, they're pretty much necessary if you start thinkering with your gun. I bought a complete set at Wal-Mart for 9.99$ so they're not too expensive.

Ok thanks, for the Hex Key kits, I have all of them...
For rerouting the wiring I will have to open all the gun? I think that worth the job for putting away this ugly battery box lol... thanks again |

you can buy either the ics s.i.r rail kit or the samurai s.i.r from wgc and replace your rail. these both hold batteries but they are like $179 u.s. plus freight, etc. unless you are a mechanical whiz don't bother rewiring your mechbox for the g&p stock. the stock won't fit (you must modify the rectangular keys on the lower mechbox with a dremel) and completely strip down your lower mechbox to reroute the wiring. you could buy a stock lower box premade from ics for fixed stck but it has to come from asia as airsoft elite (the exclusive north american distributor) doesn't currently have them. i know because i have the ics m4 r.i.s. and was checking out alternatives but opted to stay stock.you can fit a 9.6 1700mah battery in that faux peq and it should be available from your ics retailer. it will also fit 2 8.4 minis and you cal parallel wire them for game use and then disconnect after. unfortunatley with their rail system the box is your only choice without extensive mods to this gun. if you want to balance the gun out a but so all the weight is not centered forward of the mag, buy the g&g sopmod stock. it fits with little effort.

thanks... I think for the moment, because i don't use my rails now, i will only buy a normal m4 hanguard at 70$ on rangers airsoft. Will it fit?

make sure it's an ics handguard. others may not fit and positively lock within the delta ring set-up. ics parts are generally proprietary and not interchangable with other brands. tm,g&P and some(not all)g&g parts are interchangeable. with an ics m4a1 you can fit a 9.6 1700mah nunchuck battery in the foregrip so with the proper grip you should be able to as well.
