Lightbulb Accuracy and Range?

Sorry for the n00b question guys,

But what is the typical range/accuracy of airsoft weaponry and whatnot?

Either a Stock gun? or a Fully modified decked out weapon?

Thanks a ton!

Stock AEG's run 250-280 FPS (Feet per second)
a fully modified decked out gun would probably have stronger springs put into it, which would up the FPS, my advice would be read up on reviews on all types of AEG's they usually list the FPS in them.

Well I mean like how far will an average BB travel fired from a normal AEG?
and from a beefy AEG?

it really depends. because the bb's are very light, if it's windy at all outside then range/accuracy isn't nearly as good as if you were in a long hallway or something.

It all depends on the field you are playing

CQB = Doesnt really matter, even a shitty 200 fps gun will do when shooting in between rooms, however for long hall shooting or in between buildings it might matter.

Outdoor = Hop up is where you thank TM for designing it, without it your bb's will drop after 40 feet or so (Depends if its stock or upgraded)

If its a non windy day and you are shooting a stock gun (270 fps) your bb's will go 100ft and then loose momentum and drop. If its upgraded then 100+ ft is your range. It also is determined by your barrel length and tightness of bore (Long vs Short, Stock Barrel vs Tighter barrel).

Honestly you really need to shoot an airsoft gun before you really get the idea behind hop-up and range of airsoft guns, me telling you or other people telling you wont give you the clear picture.

dont forget the weight of the bbs you use is a factor as well. like they said a stock gun you are good for roughly 100 feet.

also when the bb reaches that distance the velocity is greatly reduced so you may not even feel it through your bdu's

like its ok if its accidental but seriously headshots should be avoided. Especially if you have an upgraded airsoft gun. How would you like a BB travelling 450 FPS headed towards your face? LOL...but generally airsoft is safe. Just try not to do as many head shots, cops aren't taught to do headshots all the time. It mostly center mass.

the MP5 and the M4 are basically the same aside for inner barrel length, so the M4 may be slightly better, but hardly noticable.

Stock guns, 100-150 feet 100 for decently accurate
Upgraded to 400fps with tightbore, 175-200 feet, sometimes more.

Thats great because you just saved me a bunch of money. I was going to get an M4 becasue I was like the real steel M4 shoots different then airsoft MP5s...but i forgot airsoft most TM guns when stock are somewhat similar. >.< i guess i'll put my money towards a side arm then.

Thanks
