BTC Chimera mkII on V3 gearbox problem

Hi all, I'm wondering if anyone has installed the BTC Chimera mkII into a Ver 3 gearbox? I seem to be stuck at the start. One of the first notes in the install instructions is to shim the sector gear as low as possible to ensure it engages the cycle detection switch on the Chimeras trigger board. However, the trigger board uses the cutoff lever screw to secure the board to the gearbox, and this screw sits so high that the sector gear must be shimmed super duper high in order to not rub on it. So now the sector gear barely engages the cycle detection switch on the chimera trigger board.

Has anyone seen this before? I guess I can always dremmel the screw down a bit, but I'm wondering if there are any other work arounds or if I've completely screwed up this step. I've installed a couple of Spectre's in Ver 2's, but this is my first time working on a Ver3 and first time working with the MKII Chimera.

Thanks in advance!

Oates

Grind down the screw. Make sure you can find spares first, though.

Hey guys, just an update for anyone who cares, I heard back from BTC, and they said i've been doing it wrong. The screw from the cutoff lever is not required for the installation and should be removed. The only thing that holds the mosfet in the mechbox is the spring pressure from the spring that is mounted on the trigger board.

Hope that helps anyone out there with the same problem.
