LOOKING FOR REALISTIC AIRSOFT GUNS FOR FILM IN ATLANTIC CANADA
My name is Andrew Todd and i'm a cinematgrapher from Saint John, NB and am currently working in Halifax in the navy. I'm shooting a film next month with writer/director Richard MacQueen and was wondering if theres anyone around these parts with some nice weapons that could be used and also to coordinate and supervise that aspect of the film. Let me know if you can help. It will definately be a fun project to work on.

Do you have insurance? A licensed weapons handler? Permits?
Folks will want to know because you have no idea how many have come here asking for this kind of help. Most were kids. So the required effort is on your side. Sorry, but hotmail accounts are not exactly professional for starters. Tell us more. |

Its a modern medium/short film which will be shot around Saint John, NB. We will be filming late next month. It should run aprroximately 20 minutes and will be an entry in film festivals. I can be reached at (902)444-9294. Im living in the barracks at St.laurent block in windsor park in Halifax right now if anyone local would like to meet up and see that i am not a minor or add me on msn (yes with my shady hotmail account. ill send you some footage of mine and anything else that would put your mind to ease) I have contacted my local representative to get age verified (that seems to be the route to go on this forum) You would need permits to have realisitc weapons in plain view of the public like somewhere downtown. It will be filmed on loacation in a remote private area and the police will be notified.

What exactly is the definition of a "realistic airsoft gun"?

None really, me thinks someone got overzealous with the trashbin button.
Throw me a pm with all the information you would like to put in a post and I will see what I can do. |

Yeah, I'm confused.. What's wrong with a hotmail account? Perhaps hes a human and is alowed to use it?:O
Give him a chance, if he does have those permits (that Greylocks was asking about as if he knows Mr. Todd doesn't have) then wouldn't you like to be on a short film.. Just for shits and giggles? I know before I die, I want to be in at least one porno movie.. So for some airsofters this might be their chance... |

He replied to me and stated that all the permits and an armorer was available on-site.
Bawbag, what I asked was for a very good reason. We've had fraudsters here before. Pros tend to use a static IP service, not Hotmail. It's a clue something is not up to par. Since he answered, and provided clear information, no problem. Now we all know. The mistake here is that he should have made all this crystal clear from the first post. So no, I'm not sorry I asked and wondered. And even if movies are fun, I would not bring airsoft guns anywhere that is not covered by insurance. |

Hey grey, no worries.. What you did is normal.. I guess, but it's the fact that you started the questions as if he is 12 years old with no permits and you know what? You had an influence on the mod to thrash this.. Like it or not. Greylocks giving off a bad vibe to a thread, mods know it must be bad..
