Has anyone priced the real steel hinge plate & #27? I'm interested to know just how expensive they would be.

I am very interested in seeing how this all turns out. I have often contemplated what it would take to machine quality metal parts to replace the hinge plate and part #27. If you do end up making some of these parts I would be more than willing to dish out $100 for a set. I have already burned through 4 hinge plates with the open bolt system, fortunately my part #27 is still holding strong.

looking at those parts on real steel, they may fit, but they won't work with WE's version, from what i can tell. so you'd have to replace both...

if you go to FN's website they have a forum, someone had a thread created with the parts diagram and prices, if i recall part 27 alone was around $150USD because i was hoping i could buy a RS version of 27 and mill to fit but at 150 a pop i said no way in hell, id hate to see wat part 66 cost. sorry i havent replied much, havent been getting emails for some odd reason. ill have to look into it.
AH here it is, after two google searches i found it for Part 215 (RS), aka. part 27 for us = $153USD and no listed price for stock hinge??? i guess the real steel version doesnt break? or must be sent in for service, idk. but this is the official list from FN. >>>> the diagram and prices If you guys would like to make an order list that would be grateful. I was thinkin of starting off by making 20 of each and seeing how that sells, but i gotta know if i need more or less, also they will be anodized black, i cant do any brown or dark earth right now. ***UPDATE*** For part 66, i am just about done with drawing the part few more tweaks, less than an hour and drawing will be done, then i have to program tools, which should be 2days max, and hopefully proto thursday or friday. once i get it perfected all i have to do is order stock and we will be in business.
