Thank you for the info, I think I may just go for the PGC slide and keep the stock sights, eventually I may get the other ones by Detonator that you have on one of your Glocks, RM, but only time will tell.
The Guarder spring guide that I will be getting comes with the 150% recoil spring and the hammer spring, which I will install both. As for the piston head, only one is a piston head, the other is a piston lid, I'm not sure if I need it, it's just $3 so that's why I put it on the list. Do you think the piston head is a good investment? Here are the two items that I'm talking about: http://shop.ehobbyasia.com/spartan-d...-g18c-gbb.html http://shop.ehobbyasia.com/guarder-p...ck-unmark.html As for the magazine catch, I don't mind doing some dremeling, and I will be putting it in a Guarder frame, so I would assume there would be less issues. Thanks again! Last edited by cellulose; September 16th, 2010 at 21:15.. |

The catch needs a bit of filing for me, its not too bad....
FYI, I am not sure that piston head will work. The G18C's piston is NOT round, its the D shape like the Guarder bit. The piston head definitely is not compatible with 1911/Hi-Capa or even G17.... In order for the G18 to have that lightening pocket on the top of the slide, the cylinder cannot be made round anymore, which is why its D-shaped... |

Sorry, my first GBB pistol, and I've only researched it, haven't even held one. Based on that though the TM G18C is my number one choice.
Now the whole piston situation makes sense. So that being said, do you have any recommendations for internal upgrades for the G18C? Also, what is a good source for those? From what I've seen, it doesn't seem like eHobbyAsia has much of a selection. |

Tight bore and hop-up plus hammer spring if you experienced light strike will bring it up probably from around 280 stock to probably 300-310 or more, there really isn't that much part available for it yet, so thats probably as far as you can go. I don't know if Guarder's piston thing works or not as I don't have that...

I would definitely like to get a tight bore and hop-up.
Would this be a good choice for a tight bore: KM 6.04mm TN Inner Barrel TM G17/P226(97mm) http://www.airsoftglobal.com/product...oducts_id=6692 What would you suggest for hop-up? I think I won't bother with the piston thing, I just added it as it was cheap. Thank you again for all the information, I look forward to even getting the stock G18C in my hands! |

KM is pretty good, though its hard to compare unless you have all the different ones and do a test....I use PDI for most of mine. 6.01 is pretty good for power but probably not so great for grouping. Its harder to find their 6.05s now. I use that on my IPSC Hi-Capa and it works well...
Same with hop-up rubber, I've typically used nine-ball, but no real reason to back it up... |

Awesome, I think I have finalized my upgrade list, well at least until some other cool shit comes out.
Here's what I'm going for: - Shooters Design Glock 18C Gas Blowback Aluminum Slide (BK) (will buy paint from glonation.com for sights) - Tanio Koba Hop-Twist Barrel For G17/P226 - Nine Ball Air Seal Chamber Packing - Guarder TM Glock 17 Enhanced Recoil Spring Guide - Guarder Glock 17 Original Frame in Black - Shooters Design Reinforced TM G17 Magazine Release - Guarder High Output Valve For Marui GLOCK Series (I know I can mod them but I want consistency) - Shooters Design Magazine Bases with Logo for all Magazines I think that's all, will have to wait a little to buy it though as life is more important than airsoft =/. But I should at least have a stock G18C by the end of November. Thank you! |

Question for you guys: What are the differences between these hop ups? I know they have different softness and hardness levels, but how does it affect performance?

Stippling, rougher texture, more grip purchase, without needing grip tape...done easily(though time consumingly) with a soldering iron on the plastic frame.
Its like a rash, when one of your gun gets it, the rest tend to too.... |
