Welcome. So your part 48 broke? Can you post a picture of that? That one is news to me. I'm getting a steel one of those from ra tech eventually. Oh and I think you are reading the forum backwards.

Thanks for the photos. I think if your recoil spring gets too weak this starts to happen. I'm going to put something like that on my steel one when it comes. Not that I think the steel will break, but I bet the T part of the recoil rod will get damaged.

My #48 did the same thing. After it happened I realized the screws mounting it to the bolt carrier were loose, as was the recoil spring guid bolt.

Yeah, my bolt stuff comes loose too. Some weak lock tight works good. And I have to use pliers to tighten the recoil rod.

so my OB kit came in today with the tsc part 66. install was quick and easy. Altho I do have some problems. Some how my bolt catch is sitting to high and wont allow the bolt to travel at all. Im going to have to file or grind it down. With the TSC part 66 my stock now slides up and down about an 1/8th of an inch, ill have to find something to stuff in the pocket to keep the stock tight and keep it from sliding. Also I have figured it out. I have found out how part 66 is $30, its cast 7075 and then was machined. Much like the upper receiver of the scar. I am amazed at how accurate and close the grouping is even on full auto, definitely worth the money

My open bolt; bolt catch was stuck when I got it. It would not bend back and forth. I can't remember what I did to fix it. But it definitely sat at the same level as the old one. Not sure why yours is different. My stock has a little wobble to it too. But I'm not doing anything until you get your part finished.

ya idk what the deal is with the bolt catch, ive tried both of them, the new catch and the old catch sit the same look the same and I cant see any difference. my problem seems to be that the bolts are different where as the old closed bolt system the bottom half where the catch would lower into is completely cut out, but since the air nozzle is housed in the bolt now they had to make the bolt solid to cover the nozzle and make an air seal so i think the catch is grinding on it (the catch is to tall) thats my thought im going to look into it more tomorrow. As for the sliding stock I ripped up a little piece of candy wrapper from some m&m's and stuffed it in there, it removed the vertical motion in the stock. Just a tolerance problem with molded plastic, everyones scar is going to be different.
