i had the STEEL slide for my G26, and i loved it so much that i just contacted the dude i sold it to so i could buy it back. it was an AMAZING piece. here is my build thread, and most of the parts i have listed are able to work on the G17...

Yup, I've seen your thread, Mike. Thanks.

Uhhh... so basically... as soon as Canada Post stops dicking around and gets me my damn Redwolf order, I think that'll be as far as I'll take my Glock. Turns out the trigger bar really was a necessity - the Guarder one (though it doesn't look quite as nice in terms of paint as the TM one) does a swell job... haven't had a chance to field test my Glock as of yet, but I'm waiting on a PDI piston head (I think?), TK hop-twist barrel, and AS diamond mag catch in that Redwolf order. I think I'll love my Glock regardless of whatever upgrades I manage to get in there - it should perform admirably stock, anyway.

Just a note on the ACM clone Serpa level 3 (or something like that) for Glock 17's with the X-Fire light... TM Glocks do fit, however the frame does tend to rub up somewhere making it fit very nicely. If only I had a PGC slide, my plastic one wouldn't get all marked up either (slide slot finishing is shitty in the holster... probably a little tight too). Either way, the holster is thick and solid and locks a Glock in good and doesn't come with mounting screws for the mount. Is this tidbit unrelated? Hell yeah. Do I think someone will find this info useful? Hope so.

Thanks to those of you that contributed to this thread. I'm not sure if I actually listened to any of you in the end though, lol - but your posts got me started on what I should be looking for for my Glock.
