You still don't get it. It's the receiver that's the prohibited part. The rest of the parts you can import legally all you want. If you import the receiver - on its own or as part of a gun - you've broken the law.

How about a upper metal receiver for an ICS MP5 A5? Maybe a metal cocking system too? Should have bought the full metal one. Stupid me.

You guys make a great point. The Law is the Law. As was said, "It's the receiver that's the prohibited part"
Anything else shouldn't be a problem. On a side-note.....I'm assuming buying magazines from the US is ok?

I've been beat to but I'll restate it again to emphasize the point.
It has already been stated to you that you can't have restricted items mailed to you because they are illegal. Illegal seems to be a term some people find hard to understand so to put it in the simplest terms I can, everyone will tell you this and though it makes most people sound like an asshole, it is said for a reason. Get age verified, buy from the classifieds. Not 18+ then wait. Airsoft isn't going anywhere it'll be here when you turn 18. Don't risk a shit pile of problems trying to order restricted parts from over seas or the states when you can get that same stuff here after you get age verified through the proper channels. It isn't worth the headache for you or us when you come back to complain that your restricted part got confiscated by the CBSA after you got told repeatedly it would. |

Upper receivers for M4s are fine. The prohibited part is the part that on the real firearm would be stamped with the serial number. For most assault rifles / SMGs, that's the lower receiver. There are exceptions where it's the upper receiver (like MP5). For pistols, that's the lower frame for most.

If you did make your own reciever how would anyone find out, I am pretty sure it's illegal to make hydrogen and fill up balloons and blow them up but that didn't stop me from dong it lol and it was fun as hell.

You CANNOT manufacture your own reciever. It would the same if you made your own gun parts. Unless you have the appropriate licence to do so, and follow the proper registration process. NO.

I officially give up on this thread.
Yes, import all the guns and receivers you want. Have fun.
