you'll be much better served with a pellet gun, ballistics will match (on the short scale, and given the velocity) and wind will have a similar effect (again scaled) you'll have to adjust what you learned in Basic Cadre.. to be honest try the following,
set up some random ranges, crosswinds, elevations etc on paper, draw one of each category at random and calculate the hold-off based on those.. at least it'll keep you from getting rusty and if you change the values (or have a big enough range of values) to pick from it'll keep you sharp which unit are you with? btw if you get a pellet gun you are restricted to 495fps ones. Anything over that will require a pal to purchase *canadian firearms license*. If you get that there are some bolt action pellet guns 1000fps plus.
I am aware there are more than just ba. But for realism I would assume that's what he would want. Breakbarrel sniper hehe. |

Mmmm... Anschutz 9003.
Anyways... I guess you're in England at the moment right now. I suggest you do some research about the VCRA and the UKARA "skirmisher" scheme (note that UKARA is not the only way you can prove that you're an active skirmisher and use the "skirmisher defense" clause). Now as for Canada, it's best to buy in country and keep it here, you can export it but cannot import it back in so it's best to have 2 guns, one in England and the other in Canada. IF you're looking for something more for "ISSF" style shooting and precision target shooting Airsoft is not what you want, airsoft has ballistics akin to a musket rifle or shotgun than a "modern day" rifle with a rifled barrel and such. In that case something like a Daisy Powerline or Avanti is probably what you want. Some however you will need a PAL license for (the ones that shoot over "495" FPS). In this case I can offer some help but another forum (Canadian Airgun Forum) is probably where you'll get more in depth information.

Well you probably will be better off in the long run with working on getting your Canadian firearms license and a real gun. It takes time and such but if you really wanna keep up your skills the real thing is the best. In the mean time do what these guys that are smarter than me said. : P
