I vote that us BC airsofters go find this kid and give him a good beating-something that he apparently hasn't had before.
If that was me that the little midget kidiot monkey(I'm starting to sound like Pus:O) pulled a fake gun on, he'd be eating it for the next three meals. |

I was kinda the same as a kid (to a degree), many police knew me, my bothers and my sister on a first name basis. I straightened out my life and am on the right track, mind you it took having my son to do that but who's to say the same can't happen here with this kid? (minus the having a kid) I know hes a little bastard now but he is still young and people change. Also note that they aren't focusing on the gun in the article.

"Replica" could be something as simple as a spray-painted cap gun...
Hell, when I was young (oh, that sounds old) I could go to Woolworth's (oh, I'm really old) and buy a pair of black (suction dart) guns for $10; not to mention the very real looking battery operated water pistols, like the "Rambo" line that included an AK-47 and RPG. Good Lord, I'm almost 40.

This made me laugh.. Even though it's bad this kid needs to be locked up obviously he thinks he can get away with anything but seeing a 12 year old try to rob someone for a cellphone and wallet would be pretty funny..

100 criminal acts at the age of 12, that woman needs a 51st trimester abortion. It's not too late!

I don't know. Maybe you were just mature and realized that you should turn your life around. There are tonnes of other people that once they have a kid just ditch. Not that many people are so noble as to realize that they should turn their life around so in the future that their kids can have a better life.

Its just as easy and more dangerous to rob someone with a knife. They're not gonna probe into what the gun was.
Its not an issue with gun control, the kid is into mischievous ideals, he's probably being influenced by an older group of kids that are probably providing him with these. I think they should move there family farther up north, that way if he tried the same crap again he'd face some angry redneck with a real gun. |

oh cause having the kid shot by a redneck while he's holding a fake one is really gonna solve the problem. ya politicians and media won't be all over that like a live grenade

Yep the kid is screwed up ,The kids with airsoft is defiantly a problem & we all worry what people will think of airsoft ,
& what will happen to airsoft , when these things happen , None of us here wants those who are not familiar with the sport/hobby to get a bad perception of it ,...yet I can tell you the last few years Ive been coming here I do wonder what someone would think of the community if this site was their first exposure Personally I find the fact that many cant seem to put more than four words together without the fourth being a curse, kind of does a disservice. you wouldn't have to look far to find that,... & then there's the threads where the goal is to see who can be more vulgar or gross people out more ... For a site that is supposed to be showing how mature the airsoft community is...I do wonder what first time users or authorities would think of us after reading some of what makes it on here .... Im not complaining about anyone ,..just the general trend Ive been seeing food for thought thats all.... |

Real guns aren't the issue here, any law-abiding gun owners wouldnt use his gun like that anyway. It'll put the fear in em when he sees how prolific real guns are up north. Not to mention the seclusion, he wont have any of his former contacts and he can waste his youth playing x-box like the rest of the kids now-a-days.

The only way I see your idea happening is if he does something stupid again the RCMP should respond in full force, fully armed kicking down his door, the shock and awe will get him not a guy with a rolling stones T-shirt from the 80's and a Dale Jr. sticker on his truck. the global village will ensure that he will never be out of contact with his former associates. |

More than 100 run ins with police by age 12. WTF. They need to be charging the parent as well.

When I was about that age a school colleague of mine was doing similar shenanigans. His father, from what I guessed, was disgruntled that he lost the kids in the divorce and convinced his son that juvenile detention was basically Disneyland.
After many run-ins with the law he got to see that this was not the case. At least he got sent to a foster home afterwards, hopefully that helped him. |
