Yeah I'm just waiting now to hear back from age verifiers. I just realized that mach1 airsoft sells ICS, VFC and classic army guns, and they're also located much closer than 007airsoft.

Yeah, you could do what bareass said. It is true. However, I find that in the classifieds you either have guns that are highly upgraded and cost upwards of $700+ or you find guns that are stock but they are not exactly what you are looking for and may need to do a few upgrades.

In the end I see it this way... If you can get a good quality gun with good externals and decent internals like SRC... why not? you can get the model you want, new, and you will not get over your head when you are a new airsofter buying a gun that has tons of upgrades which, honestly mean nothing because you have no idea.

Don't get me wrong... I may still go for an ICS or even VFC, I can afford it.... However, as a first AEG I rather buy something more affordable, because you don't even know if you will get to use it as much. Take me as an example. I joined this site in 2003 and I was ready to go... then life happens and almost 8 years later I am back and still with no AEG, but I am more serious about getting into airsoft this time around. School is done, etc.

i would still wait to get verified.

mak11 may not like what is there, but the perfect gun might be sitting there waiting for you. either way, if you wait and don't like what you see, you can always buy the new gun. either way, not much going on right now in terms of games, so no use rushing into it just yet. as long as your ready for your first game your all set.

honestly, if i could do it all over again, knowing what i know now. i would have bought a stinger S34P from crappy tire, played my first game with it (my first game was a CQB game so it would of been fine) and got verified. then buy an AEG... what ever you do. buy what you buy and then stop looking... it'll piss you off every time!

Yeah, I hear that, buyer's remorse is a terrible feeling to have. I hate waiting, but I guess I'll have to. Thanks

You do know... a BNIB full metal ics is only $350... not even close to $500...

Should check this thread as it's pretty up-to-date still....
http://www.airsoftcanada.com/showthread.php?t=93431

*note: it doesn't list every gun available though*

I'm sorry I don't have the time to check as I'm studying for a physics midterm, but were those prices the averages for the type of gun? Or were they single sales? Because that list was last updated 4 months ago, and it could have been a one off thing. Right now, just looking at Mach1 airsoft, a VFC sopmod m4 is $600 before tax. How's that stack up to the classifieds?

The price I stated for the ICS isn't from the classifieds, it's sold in the AV retailer section....

In general prices in classified should be much cheaper than retail too... *And tax is included at least for the ICS for $350*

There are VFCs in classified, but no SOPMOD right now, afterall it depends on timing, and when individuals putting it up...

So you'll need to get AV'd to check every now and then.... For $500, you can get a G&P full metal if you wanted in classified... *tax and shipping included*

Hi,

For the SRC's here are the 5 differences between the Gen III and the Gen III Pro:

Gen III has tinted glass fiber lower receiver, Gen III Pro has aluminum lower receiver
Gen III has M120 spring, Gen III Pro has M140 spring
Gen III has 6.05mm tightbore barrels, Gen III Pro has 6.03mm super tight bore barrels
Gen III has steel gear set, Gen III Pro has helical cut steel gear set
Gen III has regular motor pinion gear, Gen III Pro has CNC steel motor pinion gear.

For these 5 upgrades, you are only paying $50 more.

We are required to put in M140 springs into the full metal Gen III Pro's, otherwise they are prohibited for import (metal lower makes these replica firearms if shooting lower than 430fps).

For details of what internals the Gen III Pro's come with, please see the STANDARD FEATURE list on the top of this page here: http://www.007airsoft.com/products/h...16-gen3pro.htm

I don't know the detailed specs about the ICS guns in Canada, however, I do know that to accommodate the split gear box (which is brilliant by the way), the receivers of the guns are made to be longer than the real size. If you are not an avid gun collector though, you shouldn't mind the difference.

Ken

Yeah, I wish I would have known Ken was going to be carrying these sweet Gen III Pro's before I bought a tinted HK416 from the first Gen III line. I've dumped over $150 just to upgrade it to a metal receiver and tightbore barrel and now you can get all this and more for just a mere $50 bucks.

I regularly alternate between my ICS M4 and SRC 416 when gaming. I can attest that both are extremely solid and reliable guns. You can't go wrong with either choice. The ICS split gearbox and spring release is genius, however the fact that these new SRC's have so many upgrades make them extremely appealing.

I guess the choice is now easier^^^

I think I will be able to sleep at night without thinking which one to get.

I like both guns (ICS & SRC gen.3) over G&G. G&G needs to step it up with their internals, other than that G&G is a good gun.

I love my 416 from the gen iii pro series. I highly recommend it to anyone looking to get a good hk416 without major hurt to your wallet only beef I have is that the take down is a pain and one of my tabs broke on the upper receiver.

@Ken: do you carry upper receivers?
